Term 2: Coaching Newsletter

Kia ora,

As we wrap up Term 1, we would like to thank all players and families for a fantastic start to the year across our Hot Shots, Schools Coaching, and Junior Development programmes. It has been great to see strong numbers on court, with players improving their skills, gaining confidence, and enjoying their tennis in a positive environment.

Throughout the term we have delivered coaching across our school programmes, afternoon Hot Shots sessions, and matchplay opportunities, and it has been pleasing to see so many players continuing to develop each week. The effort and attitude from the players have been excellent, and we appreciate the ongoing support from families.

We now look forward to moving into Term 2, with programmes starting again in Weeks 1 & 2, and continuing to build on this term's progress.

Term 2 will include our regular Hot Shots sessions, school coaching, and further matchplay opportunities to help players keep learning and enjoying the game.

Something for the parents….

Cardio Tennis

Is a fun, high-energy way for adults to learn and play tennis while improving overall fitness. Sessions combine tennis skills with cardio-based movement, helping players build endurance, agility, coordination, and confidence on court.

Designed to suit beginner to intermediate players, Cardio Tennis is inclusive and flexible, allowing participants to work at their own pace and “play their way to fit.” Coaches adapt activities to individual abilities and goals, ensuring everyone feels supported.

Most importantly, Cardio Tennis offers a relaxed, non-judgemental environment where players can enjoy tennis, stay active, and be part of a friendly, social community that values fun as much as fitness.
