Coaching is provided all year round with regular indoor court bookings at The Edgar Centre. During season in Term 1 & Term 4 Coaching is offered at Balmacewen Tennis Club.

All coaching times & days are subjective to current availability and resources, we do our very best to cater to everyone’s needs.

Tennis NZ Hot Shots

Tennis Hot Shots is learning through play with modified equipment that has a progressive pathway. This allows kids to develop their skills right from the start, and continue learning at a pace that suits them!

Private Coaching

Private coaching is the best way to improve your game fast. Targeted technical and tactical advice which suits you and your game. This is where you have the coaches full attention.

Adult Coaching

This programme is designed for people wanting to learn how to play tennis. These lessons are about learning tactical and technical aspects of the game and aimed at those who want to learn to play or have been playing for some time. This course will help you raise your game by working on your technique and tactics

Squads

Squads are a positive and supportive environment based around hitting drills and games that are interactive. Social, Competitive & Performance programmes for Adults, Juniors and Students that want to take tennis to the next level.

Holiday Camp

Fun and Enjoyable Tennis Holiday Camp catering for all abilities and players throughout the year. All holiday camps are based at Edgar Centre so will be guaranteed play

Schools

School programmes are designed to get racket in kids hands during school time. Players will learn basic racket skills through games.

Cancellation Policy

Players are allowed to reschedule or cancel a lesson when 12 hours’ notice is provided. If player is sick on the morning of coaching notice needs to be given at 12pm at the very latest. If no notice is given, the full lesson price will be be charged to your account. If you are late to a lesson, our coaches are unable at times to push your lesson back due to other bookings. In the event of rain stopping play, your lesson will be postponed to another time slot later or extend lesson the following week. You will be notified by your coach, If you are not contacted by your coach, assume tennis is still going ahead. In the unlikely event that a coach cannot attend a session, a substitute coach may be called in. If a substitute coach is unavailable, a make-up session will be provided at an alternative time.
